Welcome to Kehila, a synagogue management and member service platform. These terms describe use of the site, account registration and the actions available through the service.
The service
The platform enables synagogues to manage member records, publish information and manage charges, payments and donations. Available features depend on synagogue settings and user permissions. Each synagogue is responsible for the content and records it enters, the charges it sets and its membership approvals.
Registration and membership
Provide accurate details and use an email address you control. Creating an account or signing in, including through Google, does not itself approve synagogue membership. Your account may be linked to a matching member record; otherwise additional details and gabbai approval may be required. An account may serve several synagogues, each with separate access and approval.
Account security and proper use
Keep passwords and verification codes private and sign out of shared devices. Do not impersonate others, try to access information without permission, disrupt the service or upload harmful or unlawful content. If you suspect unauthorized use, contact support promptly and change access credentials as appropriate. Access may be restricted for security or to address improper use.
Charges, payments and donations
Before confirming payment, check the amount, synagogue and selected categories. Allocation to charges, credit or donations follows the choices available in the payment flow. Payment confirmation depends on the payment provider and records may take time to update. Contact the synagogue about mistakes, duplicate charges, cancellations or refunds, subject to applicable law and the transaction details. A record generated by the platform does not by itself establish eligibility for a tax benefit.
Accuracy and availability
The site reflects entered records and information received from service providers. Report statement or balance errors to the synagogue for review. Outages, maintenance and delays at external providers may occur. Uninterrupted, error-free availability is not guaranteed. These terms do not limit rights or liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Privacy and external services
The site's privacy policy describes information processing. Authentication, payment and email functions partly rely on external providers, whose terms and privacy policies may also apply to their services. Only upload information and content you are authorized to provide and use.
Ending use and changes
You may stop using the site and request assistance with your account and information. Ending use does not cancel existing charges or require deletion of records that need to be retained, as described in the privacy policy. The service and these terms may change. The update date appears at the top of the page; changes requiring notice or consent will be handled under applicable law.
